Nutrition Series report: Healthy eating resources for socially disadvantaged groups
Thursday 22 July 2004
The purpose of this review was to assess the availability and quality of nutrition education resources; particularly those that may meet the needs of socially disadvantaged groups in Wales.
The review covers resources produced both centrally and locally in Wales, and centrally in the other countries of the United Kingdom. The results of the review should provide a basis for the Food Standards Agency in Wales to decide the most appropriate way forward for particular types of resources. For example, this might include:
- produce new resources in Wales
- support the use of existing locally produced materials
- use centrally produced UK materials
- adapt centrally produced UK materials
