Food law enforcement for discussion at Food Advisory Committee's open meeting

Local Authority food law enforcement will be discussed at an open meeting to be held in Caernarfon on Wednesday, 21 April.
Members of the Food Standards Agency's Welsh Food Advisory Committee will hear how the Food Standards Agency, the Meat Hygiene Service, the National Public Health Service and Local Authorities are working together to ensure the safety, quality and presentation of food from Farm to Fork. The meeting will be held at the Celtic Royal Hotel, Bangor Street in Caernarfon.
Members of the public, food producers and retailers, local authority representatives and other organisations with an interest in food standards and safety are invited to attend the open meeting, which will take place between 9.00am and 1.00pm. Audience members will be invited to share their views on the food issues that matter to them, and to comment upon the day's deliberations during an open question and answer session.
The Welsh Food Advisory Committee (WFAC) gives advice and information to the Food Standards Agency on its operations in Wales. As part of its commitment to openness, it regularly holds open meetings across the country. Its nine members have a wide range of expertise in different aspects of the food industry.
