Welsh Food Advisory Committee
The main role of the Advisory Committee is to provide advice or information to the Agency on a range of issues.
Under the terms of the legislation, an Advisory Committee for Wales was established to provide advice or information to the Agency on matters relating to its functions in Wales. The Agency is required to take the advice of the Advisory Committee into account when carrying out its functions or advising the Ministers.
The main role of the Advisory Committee is to provide advice or information to the Agency on a range of issues, including:
- the development of strategies, the aims and objectives and their application to Wales;
- the Agency’s plan of work , budgets and targets;
- major food safety issues;
- the development of the Agency’s working relationships with others and
- the Agency’s own working in terms of openness, transparency and consultation
