R01, R02 and C05 Programmes Review

A review of radiological research in the Effects of Radioactivity in the Environment (R01), Support of Radiological Surveillance (R02) and Radiological Emergencies (C05) programmes took place during 2003. The review covered five years and was carried out by a panel of five experts independent from the FSA and its contractors.

Objectives
- To review progress against the programmes' policy and scientific objectives, evaluating quality of science, relevance to policy needs and value for money.
- To make recommendations on the future direction of the programmes.
