Agency invites feedback on BSE controls
Friday 10 October 2008
The Agency would like to hear from stakeholders with a particular interest in BSE issues at a workshop on 21 November.
The workshop has been set up as part of a review of official supervision arrangements for specified risk materials (SRM) and other BSE controls in slaughterhouses and cutting plants, when cattle over the age of 30 months are being processed.
SRM controls are a key BSE control, and the aim of the workshop is to discuss views on adopting a more risk-based approach to official controls supervision.
The event organisers are inviting a range of individuals with a particular interest in BSE, but also want to hear from consumers and other stakeholders who have not previously participated in one of the workshops.
