Scotch Smoked Salmon Co Ltd has recalled batches of smoked salmon due to contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. This product was supplied to premises within the London boroughs.
Scotch Smoked Salmon Co Ltd, based in London, has withdrawn all packs from the identified batches of this product as a precautionary measure and are arranging for point-of-sale notices to be displayed at all identified outlets. These notices advise consumers of the reason for the recall and the actions they should take if they have already purchased the affected products.

Listeria has been found in a pack of smoked salmon during routine sampling at two retailers.
Routine sampling by Environmental Health departments have found unacceptable levels of Listeria monocytogenes in two packs of smoked salmon sampled at the point of sale recently.
As a precaution, Scotch Smoked Salmon Co Ltd has withdrawn all packs from the identified batches of this product and are arranging for point-of-sale notices to be displayed at all identified outlets. These notices advise consumers of the reason for the recall and the actions they should take if they have already purchased the affected products.

Any one who has some of the affected batches should return them to where they bought them for a refund. Scotch Smoked Salmon apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
