Waitrose has recalled an affected batch of Frozen Chicken Breast Chunks 300g due to the unintentional presence of egg, which is not declared.
Some packs may contain traces of egg which is not declared and which makes this product unsafe for individuals who are allergic to egg.
Waitrose has undertaken a full product recall. Product recall notices will appear in the national press from 4 November 2006. In addition, point-of-sale notices have been displayed in all stores.
These notices will advise customers of the reason for the recall and the actions they can take if they have already purchased the affected product. Waitrose has been in contact with the Anaphylaxis Campaign and Allergy UK who will inform all their egg allergic members of the recall.

Waitrose is recalling packs of Waitrose Frozen Chicken Breast Chunks (300g) as the product contains traces of egg. Any customer with an egg allergy could be affected by this product.
The product has the following date code printed on the front of the pack.

No other products are affected by this recall
What you should do
This product should not be consumed by anyone who has an egg allergy and can be returned to any branch of Waitrose for a full refund. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
