Quaker has recalled certain batches of their own brand Caribbean Chicken Seasons due to elevated levels of aflatoxins present in one of the ingredients.
The maximum permitted limits in cereal products are 2 parts per billion for aflatoxin B1 and 4 parts per billion for total aflatoxin. These limits are enforced under the Contaminants in Food (England) Regulations 2005.
Quaker has recalled specific batches from sale. Product recall notices will be placed in the national press from 19 May 2006. The notice will alert customers to the recall and explain the actions to take if they have purchased the product.
