United Biscuits has recalled certain batches of its Go Ahead! brand Crispy Fruit Slices and Yoghurt Breaks due to the possible presence of small pieces of thin metal wire.
United Biscuits has undertaken a product recall of the affected batches. Product recall notices will be placed in the national press from today (12 July 2006). This notice advises customers of the recall and the actions they can take if they have already purchased the affected product.
The recalled products are:
- Go Ahead! Crispy Fruit Slices – All varieties and pack formats
- Go Ahead! Yoghurt Breaks – All varieties and pack formats
The recalled batches are best before dates:
- 10 Feb 2007
- 17 Feb 2007
- 24 Feb 2007
- 03 Mar 2007
- 10 Mar 2007
- 17 Mar 2007
The above dates are applicable to both Go Ahead! Crispy Fruit Slices and Go Ahead! Yoghurt Breaks.
No other batches of United Biscuits Go Ahead Crispy Fruit Slices or Yoghurt Breaks are known to be affected.
