Findus Ltd withdraws its own brand Gourmet 6 Salmon Skewers 360g due to the presence of an illegal veterinary medicine

Findus Ltd has withdrawn certain batches of its own brand Gourmet 6 Salmon Skewers 360g, due to the presence of crystal violet, an illegal veterinary medicine.

Crystal violet is not listed as a veterinary medicine under annexes I, II and III of Council Regulation 2377/90 and its use in aquaculture is not permitted.

Findus Ltd has undertaken a product withdrawal of the affected items. Point-of-sale notices have been issued to stores selling this product to notify the public of the withdrawal. The notices advise consumers of the reason for the withdrawal and the actions they should take if they have already purchased the affected product.
