The Boots Company plc withdraws two batches of its own brand Super Strength Fish Oil Capsules due to the presence of dioxins

The Boots Company plc has withdrawn two batches of its own brand Super Strength Fish Oil Capsules, packs of 60, due to the presence of dioxins.
Although there is no health risk associated with consumption of this product, the level of dioxins found in fish oil used to produce these capsules exceeds statutory limits.
The Boots Company plc will be contacting all of its Advantage Cardholders, who may have bought the affected product, via letter on 13 April 2006. Point-of-sale notices will be placed in the health areas in all of their stores to alert consumers of the withdrawal as of 12 April 2006.
The product affected is:
- Boots Super Strength Fish Oil Capsules, packs of 60
- Batches affected are: 5D22 and 5L63
