J Sainsbury recall Dry Cured York Ham sold from their in-store delicatessen counters

J Sainsbury plc has recalled all Taste The Difference Dry Cured York Ham sold from their instore delicatessen counters.
This product has tested positive for the presence of salmonella. The meat was processed by and supplied to J Sainsbury by Cranswick Country Foods, Helsinki Road, Kingston upon Hull.
J Sainsbury has undertaken a full product recall and placed product recall notices in national newspapers today (5 November 2004). In addition, point-of-sale notices have been placed in store.
A consumer helpline, 0800 096 6202, has been provided by Sainsbury's.

This product is labelled on the price ticket as 'D/Cured York Ham'.
We have been made aware of a potential contamination risk associated with this product and as a precautionary measure we are recalling it.
Any customers who have purchased this product should return it to their local Sainsbury's or Savacentre store, where a full refund will be given.
