WM Morrison recall of deli cooked lamb from their instore delicatessen counters

WM Morrison Supermarkets plc. has recalled deli cooked lamb sold from their in-store delicatessen counters in both Morrison and Safeway stores on or after the 29 October 2004.
This product has tested positive for the presence of salmonella. The meat was processed by and supplied to WM Morrison Supermarkets plc by Cranswick Country Foods, Helsinki Road, Kingston upon Hull.
WM Morrison Supermarkets has undertaken a full product recall and placed product recall notices in national newspapers today (5 November 2004). In addition, point-of-sale notices have been placed instore.

- Morrisons Deli Cooked Lamb, 85p per 100g
- Safeway Deli Cooked Lamb, 85p per 100g
This applies to all Cooked Lamb purchased from Morrisons and Safeway deli counters on, or after, 29 October 2004.
Morrisons is taking the precautionary measure of recalling this cooked lamb product following routine microbiological testing by the supplier, which has shown the presence of salmonella species in a single sample.
Morrisons and Safeway have already withdrawn the product from sale.
If you have bought this product, do not eat it. Please return it to your nearest Morrisons or Safeway store for a full refund. No receipt is required.
No other Morrisons or Safeway Products are affected by this recall.
