Recall of Batches of Juvela Modified Atmosphere Packaged Gluten Free Breads and Rolls

Heads of Environmental Health Services and Directors of Trading Standards will wish to be aware of a recall of batches of Juvela modified atmosphere packaged gluten free breads and rolls produced by SHS International Ltd.
A packaging defect has resulted in a large number of complaints concerning mould growth on the products within their shelf life. Corrective action to rectify the packaging fault has been taken by the manufacturer. The product details involved in the recall are as below.

Batch codes: All batches with a best before date from 23 July 2002 up to and including 11 September 2002
Packaging: Modified atmosphere plastic packaging
The product is supplied to pharmacists through wholesalers. SHS International Ltd has issued, via the wholesalers, point of sale notices to be displayed in pharmacists, and a letter to be sent by pharmacists to any known consumers they supply as the products are available on prescription. Consumers who may still have any of the products implicated in the recall are being advised to contact the pharmacist for information on how to obtain replacements.
No other batches, other than those listed above, of Juvela gluten free breads or rolls, or other products manufactured by SHS International Ltd, are implicated by the recall.
