1. NIMEA is happy to note the positive direction the BSE situation is progressing

2. In Para 37 it states that the OTM rule is 'enforced' in abattoirs by the MHS. This is in stark contrast to para 67 admitting difficulty in policing the same rule for imported beef. We consider that much new effort should be attached to inspections from other countries who are having increasing BSE incidences.
