Sustainable Development: Draft Action Plan

The UK Government's Sustainable development Strategy commits all Government Departments and their Executive Agencies to produce and publish sustainable development action plans by December 2005.
A Food Standards Agency draft action plan has been developed. This is based on the Agency�s Strategic Plan. It outlines our approach to sustainable development and explains how we will take this forward.
The draft action plan is at the link below and the views of stakeholders will be encouraged. The draft action plan will also be discussed by the Agency�s stakeholder fora during November and December. The Board�s endorsement of the finalised action plan will be sought via an inter-sessional paper early in 2006. There will be a Board briefing on all aspects of sustainable development in the Agency in January or February 2006.
