Launch of an EU technology platform on food: 'Food for Life'

This paper informs the Board of the planned launch on 5 July 2005 of an EU Technology Platform on food, 'Food for Life', and the Agency's initial response to this initiative.
The platform aims to co-ordinate key players in the European agri-food sector to develop and implement a strategic research agenda. It has the potential to influence food research agendas in Europe, including in the next EU Framework Programme, FP7.
The Board is invited to:
- note the details of this planned initiative and the Agency's initial response.
