Summary of Syngenta letter to European Commission on 6 April 2005 released under the Environmental Information Regulations.
Some information in the letter has been withheld as commercially confidential information where the confidentiality is provided by law to protect a legitimate economic interest. This action has been under Regulation 12(5)(e) of the regulations.
The headings of the letter are:
Import of seeds in the EU and planting in the EU
Information about experimental planting by Syngenta of Bt10 maize in France and Spain.
Measures taken in the US to identify the planted Bt10 crops and presence of Bt10 in current seeds supply
